ABS varoitusvalo vilkku, BMW 324TD

hello guys.
I hope some of you could help me with this problem. I bought a car(BMW 324TD) in germany near than a month ago. I went to the inspection(katsastus)and the technician toldme that the ABS light was blinking and the abs was not working. Extrange, beacuse the ligth was not blinking when i bought it, but anyway i got to solve this prob as soon as possible ....does any of you know a possible reason for the failure??? or a cheap factory near to helsinki area where to repair the problem??
If is possible to pass the inspection by only shuting down the light(taking the headligth away from the panel dashboard???) and simulating the ABS is not blinking???...or the inspection includes a clear breaking using the abs???

Luultavasti joku ABS-tunnistimista mennyt... Yleismittarilla mittaamalla saa vinkkiä, että mikä niiistä, konehuoneessa 2 liitintä ja takapenkin alla 2. Foorumilla ollut juttua ennenkin aiheesta ,koita searchillä, niin saat tietää vastusarvot kyseisille osille.

One of the ABS sensors might be bad. If you have a multimeter, it is possible to test it by measuring the resistance of the sensor. The sensor itself is a simple induction sensor, so somekind of resistance should be present (1kohm?, 10kohm?, or something between). Both front sensors should have similar resistance as well as rear sensors (but some difference can be between front and rear).

Another possibility is the "teeth" of the front and rear hub, the place the sensors pick their signals. They tend to rust, especially front the rear axle. I would check those (rear teeth) first, visually. The condition of those "teeth" can be somehow simulated if you lift one corner of the car up, rotate the wheel by hand and measure the AC voltage from the sensor. It should show about 1V, when measered using multimeter. Of course it does not tell the whole truth, you need to measure the signal by using oscilloscope in order to reliably verify whether the sensors and teeth are OK. And like in resistance, the voltage should be similar in front axle (right and left sensor) and rear axle (but some difference can be between front and rear).

Also the ABS relay might be bad (at least in older models). I have an old 7 -series and the ABS relay is located above the ABS hydraulic unit (under the plastic cover). There is also another relay, which distributes the mains (+12V from the battery) to the system. Sometimes that fails and the system does not function due to missing operating voltage.

The attachment is from E23 (old 7 -series) and it's rear axle, took from the drive shaft side. If the teeth are as rusted as in here, the ABS brakes do not work due to lack of the signal. Most the the tooth are gone, and as you can guess, the ABS unit will be "confused" because the signal is not what it expect. Or if the signal from the right rear is different than from left rear (or vice versa).
