Question about attaching a shorter license plate

    Hi,

I have a G30, and my current license plates are normal Finnish license plate (442x118mm)
I have ordered a new special license plate without the EU flag, and it's shorter: 397x118mm.

The back plate can be installed with a new plastic backing and is fine, but the current front plate is fixed to the car directly to the bumper.

What's the best way to attach the new shorter plate to the bumper without the old hole on the right visible?

I'm trying to find a plastic backing that fits the old plate holes and can house the new shorter one, but I'm unable to find anything maybe because I don't speak Finnish.

    Thank you!

    Hey.

Maybe this, I don't know if it hides the old screwholes or matches them.

Personally, I'd use 3M Dual Lock doublesided tape.

3M dual lock is the way to go.

Thanks. I have already purchased this. This one is only good for the back plate, it's the exact same size as the new plate, so it won't hide the old hole on the front unfortunately

Thanks. You mean I should mount the plate using this double sided tape? or hide the old hole using this?

I meant that the new plate could be attached with the 3M without drilling any holes etc. I’m not really familiar with the newer BMWs and their licence plate arrangements, but maybe you could position the newer plate so that it would cover the old mounting holes?

Thanks. I did that and it’s almost perfectly center now.
