The "blue sky effect" is a phenomenon that can occur when the sun is low and the sky is blue and clear at dawn and dusk, especially in winter. In this light situation the sensor detects a lower brightness than the human due to less infrared parts of the ambient light. For this reason the driving light is switched on too early or switched off too late according to human sensitivity.
