Sorry for my late reply. I have been away from my office. I've received a reply from technical regarding a stud that might fit your BMW.
Reply:
"There is one stud that –may- work. It is actually the stud that we use for the Chrysler 5.7 Hemi. It measures 6.115” (155mm), with 1.200” (30mm) of M12x1.5 thread, and 1” of M12x1.25 thread. The stud’s shank is set to pitch diameter, or .442”. The part number is AU6.115-1B and the nut that could be used is AUN12-1.
I figure that this stud will work dimensionally, as I think that we could use 30mm of the thread available in the block. If we add that 30mm to the 110mm for the head thickness, along with 20mm of additional length above the head for a nut and washer, we get about 145-150mm for a stud length, which is 6.1-6.2” long. The only fly in the ointment would be if he had forgotten to include a counter bore above the thread in the block".
You can order the parts from any of our distributors attached.
Kind regards,
Nigel.
