"So at diagnostic we have detected fault codes:
1) 4E9E - ratio monitoring, gearshift 5 to x = it means that all gears after 5th are slipping;
2) 4ECD - position valve = its mechatronic issue.
So here are neccessary full gearbox rebuild as spoke about, but with second fault code is possibility of mechatronic ECU part problem as it incorrectly controls this valve. First of all we must remove gearbox (by the way as I started to write an email in morning, and finish only just now, gearbox is removed), and proceed with gearbox opening.
We will open gearbox on tomorrow (Friday), so we can check also mechatonic separately, so let keep fingers crossed to not find any ECU problems with it. In case of ECU issue, only option is to get new or factory refurbished from ZF dealers, so it will mean that we couldnt get car back on a road in time."
